How to Train Your Dragon

This movie adds to my-fave-cartoon-movie-list. Better check it out. It's funny and has great lessons.

It's about the young Viking, Hiccup, wants to join his town's fight against the dragons that continually raid their town. However, his macho father and village leader, Stoik the Vast, will not allow his small, clumsy, but inventive son to do so. Regardless, Hiccup ventures out into battle and downs a mysterious Night Fury dragon with his invention, but can't bring himself to kill it. Instead, Hiccup and the dragon, whom he calls Toothless, begin a friendship that would open up both their worlds as the observant boy learns that his people have misjudged the species.  Until the Vikings learned that the real enemies to their village are not the dragons but the  enemy of the dragons. . . . . I wont tell the ending so you must watch the movie yourself.  ;)

a miracle indeed

I really think I need to blog this. I completed the.........wait for it... 9-novena-masses!!!! What is up! Okay, now I think I'm exaggerating it BUT, but I really am happy. That for the first time in 18 years, I have completed it. And for me, it is indeed a MIRACLE. You know, It is very difficult to wake up everyday very early as 4 o'clock. right?

They said that if you completed the 9-novena-masses, you've earned a wish from Jesus. So since I made it, I made a wish awhile ago. I won't say what it is 'cos it will not come true. But let's just say it's for my mom.

Well, I am out of words here so this is it. I feel fulfilled and happy. ;) Have a Merry Christmas everyone..

Is JESUS jealous of SANTA?

Has this thought ever cross your mind? Me? just this morning. After attending the mass awhile, I thought of Jesus and Santa at the same time. Funny it was, I questioned myself, "Is Jesus jealous of Santa?" then I realized He kinda is.

how magic works

Isn't it heartbreaking when you surely believed onto something and just to find out, it is not real after all? In the movie When in Rome, it is amazing how magic makes the world up-side-down. In magic, everything can happen, and when it will, I promise, you'll be sweep off. But the moment you discover the tricks behind it, when you know that it's not true, it is sad. Well that's how magic take its course. But  you know it is not bad at all times. Sometimes, we need magic, I need magic, I need it because in that very seconds when there's magic there is nothing but only good things. Believing something is not a bad thing, we'll just have to make sure that we also know that there's a possibility it can't be true.  A friend of mine said to me that there's also one thing she know when believing has nothing bad on its sleeves, and that is believing in oneself . You see, making magic happen had to do with believing. Without it, what's left. So that's how magic works.

when your shoes don't match

Ever wondering why you and your best friend or just a friend perhaps, doesn't hang out and talk anymore? They say it started when either one of you is busy and then simply don't have much time to spend with you, well that is just a lie. How much busy a person is, it is never a reason. Maybe one changed or you run out of things you two like sharing with. When you are apart from your friend, you have an option to get in touch but you chose not to because on the other side, you feel that the other one is busy or chose not to contact too. And after months of not talking, you get to think, why should I call her? she didn't even bother to talk to me. Here comes the PRIDE that will destroy the friendship. Hey guys, we should not be like this. Every friend is a precious thing, so keep them as much as possible. You should even if they don't. "Wala namang mawawala sa'yo di ba?"( you wouldn't lose a thing, right?).

sometimes Mass and Children don't mix.

Just this morning. I attended Misa de Gallo on a church close to our house.  So while the mass was going on, the little girl was crying because she wants to sleep, who doesn't? It's 5 am. Don't get me wrong, she's cute and all that stuff while crying but God, she was so annoying, Hello! we're trying to listen to the Homily here. please shut up! You know what, I really don't understand why parents bring them to masses at such an early age, I mean they don't even know what the priest is saying. This scenario makes the children traumatized over masses, they would think its tiring and boring and when they grow up they don't want to go to church anymore. right? I suggest that the parents should just explain to their children that there's a right time when they should go to masses. And so that when the time comes, going to masses is something they will look forward to, not forced to.
